So after I had picked up the bottle of The champagne from Stuart, I headed up north to Audubon Minnesota, which is about 3 1/2 hours away. See that little dot in the middle of the screen, that's me driving through a torrential rain. I had hoped it would be a nice sunny trip up there so I could possibly stop and take pictures of lakes, trees, water buffalo... SOMETHING! That didn't happen. So it did clear up in some spaces where I can see the very interesting Minnesota and billboards. These signs saying "Just ask" went on for probably like 45 minutes, I must have seen 30 of them. I would hate to be the operator when anybody calls that place. "Yeah, um, I'm allergic to peanuts, can I still like, ya know, eat them? I saw all your signs, so I figured I'd just call and ask. Then my friends, you have places like this. If I was not on a time deadline I so would've gone into this place. The treasures that could potentially be found. Zoom in on the picture to see some crazy deals on rice. Which one do you think I picked? OH MY GOOD GOD!!
It's Zorbaz!! So when I finally knew that I was going to take my trip out to Minnesota I had posted the article from the Minneapolis city pages into a group called 'I love NE Minneapolis' and asked if anyone might want to hang out and grab some drinks. The response was overwhelming with people giving me suggestions on where to go and what to do and wanting to meet up. One guy even said I could stay at his place. I mean seriously, how cool is that? And I love the little tidbit about "if that's the direction that the party goes" Small backstory. Are used to work for a wine company that would distribute and ship wine to Minnesota. We had this bottle of red Moscato that was notorious for exploding. At least once a week I would get photos from customers where their white carpets would be completely ruined (I know I know... white carpets). It wasn't just limited to Minnesota but The thing was any time this would happen to somebody in Minnesota they would call me and be like "eh, my kitchens ruined, the cork smashed the antique vase when it popped off, it killed my dog and 3 cats, but hey, no worries" I loved Minnesota people then, I love Minnesota people now. Really? This would NEVER happen in Massachusetts! This guy saw a random post of mine on a Minneapolis Facebook page and within 15 minutes he's giving me $150 bottle of wine and telling me that I can stay at his place. The skeptic Massachusetts in me declined his invite to stay. I went to go pick up the bottle of wine on Saturday morning. He gave me the address and I so wanted to get pictures from inside but this place was way way too ritzy to do that. It was in a high rise building that had a courtyard out back, a concierge and gold everywhere. This guy was legit. So seeing as I was too chicken shit to take a photo inside, here is a pretty picture of his front door. Lovely isn't it? And there it is (along with the car rental paperwork and my car charger) I never said I was a professional. There is another picture of the groom and everyone else posing with the bottle. I've reached out to Steve hoping he has the picture. Once I get it I will update.
